Madalyn's first party! Her bestest Temple friend, Annie, turned 1 today. So we packed up a present and donned our cupcake clothes for the big bash. We were not disappointed!Annie was a wonderful hostess, greeting us at the door and ever so happy to see Madalyn (someone her size!). The girls wore their party 'hats' which matched the flower theme, and Annie's Mimi read them a special birthday story, which captured both of their attentions, and the older party attendees as well (stay tuned for a slideshow).
We sang happy birthday to Annie! Afterwards her shirt was promptly removed so she could dig in. Which she didn't... exactly. When her grandmother put some grapes on top of the cake she sort of got the idea... but big sister Georgia definitely understood, and stole some icing when - well, when we were all looking :-)

Overall, a delightful birthday party. I think Madalyn will be happy to attend parties in the future. However, we hope this is the only one where she crawls on and almost all the way across the table :-) Can't catch the baby and take a picture of that moment at the same time - sorry ;-)
