Madalyn and the Banana; Dallas and the Donkey continued...

Today we tried to begin fingerfood! Notice I said 'tried'. I think mashed banana may not be a great first finger food... it's pretty slippery. Although I have seen Madalyn working on her pincher grasp, it didn't work out too well with the banana. When we helped her and she did get a little bit of smashed banana in her mouth, she looked rather surprised by the taste - surprised with a puckered expression! Tonight we'll try 'puffs'. Be on the lookout for those photos!

Also, the Dallas and the Donkey story continues. This morning the donkey and his horse friends were right up on the fence. So Dallas and Jason journeyed out on their walk, and Dallas approached the back fence all 'a wag' (tail wagging). Dallas's tail continued to wag throughout his sniff and morning... you know. The donkey did not wag his tail, but we think he enjoyed meeting Dallas. We'll keep you updated if the relationship develops any further... we're not sure it will.

And, take note of Madalyn's park shoes! After meeting with our playgroup at the playground earlier this week, I decided it seemed a little strange to take a child to the park without shoes. So here they are: Madalyn's park shoes. They protected her little feet when we went to the park this morning :-)
