Madalyn's first family vacation - the Ft Worth zoo. We planned this trip several months ago to meet up with the Kings (Nathan, Amy-Rose, Natalie) at the Ft Worth zoo. We met Friday night for dinner before retiring to our hotel rooms. Then the next day - off to the Ft Worth zoo!!
Madalyn and Natalie both have special monkey stuffed animals so we started with the monkeys. A gorilla came right up to the window to bang back on the glass at Natalie - who wasn't even a little frightened or startled by the gesture! 
Madalyn got very excited when the zebra came trotting over and she waved her arms around - kind of like she does when we feed the donkey. 
And there's always that commonplace animal that draws an unreasonable amount of attention - for Natalie it was squirrels, for Madalyn it was a bird. Alright, so this was probably a special zoo bird. I can have my zoo prejudices :-)
It was a wonderful, wonderful first vacation for Madalyn and a super weekend for us. How we love those three Kings!! (and the 4th on the way!!)
