Wednesday we took advantage of our zoo membership and made a trip to Waco. It was Liam's first trip to the zoo! I'm not sure he could see many animals from the stroller; but he definitely enjoyed watching the kids!
We were able to attend the storytime and learn about bats. Fortunately, we recently read 'Stellaluna' so I was able to keep Madalyn intersted.
The best part was the lions - always Madalyn's favorite. The male lion decided to roar, so the young male lion roared, as well; which caused the tigers to roar in response, and eventually woke up the female lion who roared at everyone and then moved far away to resume her nap :-)
When we returned later the male lion chose to make a statement to us all with his sleeping position.
