As Valentine's Day approached it occurred to me that Madalyn would really get a kick out of valentines. She likes mail, she likes to sort small papers, she loves recognizable cartoons. So our playgroup had a valentine exchange!
Everyone broght a special mailbox and lots of little valentines to share. I'm not going to lie to you - it was chaotic! I still got to watch Madalyn enjoy the seasonal activity. And afterwards as we retrieved her mailbox she exclaimed 'oh!' and sat down quickly to inspect the contents.
I read Madalyn's valentine book - a gift from her daddy last Valentine's Day. It was a busy, busy morning full of fun!
