I love the way Madalyn loves Jason. Today Jason had to do some prep for a class he's teaching, so he was locked in his office for a while. When he came out Madalyn just lit up and began desperately directing him 'Daddy! Sit, Daddy. Sit, Daddy. Sit Daddy." I could see the wheels turning in her mind as she began scanning the room for what she and her daddy could do together... should they have tea? Should they read books? Should they do puzzles? And I know exactly the whine and the crying that would start if he couldn't sit down and went back to working.
But he said 'Okay, Doodle', and sat down. And Madalyn filled with energy as she took his hand and said 'puzzles'. And my sweet husband followed her enthusiastically into her room where they began to discuss Mr. Noodle's sad expression on her Elmo puzzle.
My husband rocks. And my sweet little girl is so blessed to have a daddy to love who knows exactly how to love her back :-)

its awesome Jason is such a great guy & father for other reasons too, if he wasn't he would be dealing w 185lbs of angry Uncle Craig who doesn't have a child so spends his days in the gym, and of course his sidekick 55lb Pit bull Lemmiwinks, who is chewing apart a tire as we speak. This would cause a ton of stress in my life & a little in Lemmi's we just don't need right now, so thank you Jason. Love you Dr. J!
