Madalyn acts out Hermie and Wormie

A few days ago, Madalyn was pacing around the kitchen telling me "I need a nearby hole".

I knew she was referencing her Hermie and Wormie story. So we made a circle of pillows for her to 'fall in'.

She then fell in, as happened in the book, and then said "Oh, the stinky skunks! Dear God, please protect me", just like in the book.

She played for a long time, and it was the most precious thing! You can never tell me the books our children read don't impact them. And I'm so grateful to Max Lucado for following God's call to write God honoring children's books!!
