My new favorite zoo is Cameron Park Zoo in Waco :-) Not too big, plenty of shade, all the big cool animals (except walruses, gotta go to Sea World for walruses, sigh). 
We met up with our meet up group - a great plan since it's probably going to be too hot for the zoo by next week!! I showed Madalyn the map with pictures of animals and asked which one she wanted to see.
So we saw the turkey. On a side note: while viewing the turkey a school child (one of millions on a field trip) ran by and said "oh! A chicken!". Seriously, Waco schools. Hit November hard next year with visual aids ;-)
It was a fun, fun morning. A welcome reprieve from all the waiting and wondering in the Northrup household as we wonder who SMU chose to offer the lecturer position
. They were supposed to have met to make a decision Tuesday and run the choice by the dean by today... please pray for a phone call to come to Jason tomorrow!!

Absolutely! But, I bet that little lady won't be a size 8 (or 38 European)!
